We remain at Inglewood . Inglewood ! I do not know much about Los Angeles, but I know you do not really want to stay in Inglewood .
The year is 1998. I recently saw the "gangsta" movie Boyz Inglewood neighborhood and green tourism sees this as if it were taken from Boyz n the Hood.

It is a suburb full of features without flat cracked concrete houses and squatting California streets.
I check to see if pedestrians are " pack heat " , I 'm waiting to hear gunshots .

This is a group of us crouched in a cheap youth hostel , drinking beer at eight o'clock in the morning, laughing instead we found ourselves in.
The accommodation has been organized by the company sorted our work visas , the same amount that will send us in Colorado the next day to start work in the ski resort of our choice.
Today, however, we are in Los Angeles.
Inglewood Or, to be more precise , in the suburbs close to the airport , and apparently far from everything we did visit .
There are a couple of guys who think they're going to take a taxi to Hollywood, and others who think they are going to the beach, but the rest of us are willing to hide in the walls of the inn drink bottles cheap Budweiser and dreaming of mountains.
I heard people who do not have many good words to say about LA , and now I am with them .
A few years later, I 'm back in the city of Los Angeles. No more Inglewood for me - this time I'll stay in the heart of Hollywood.
I will be very close to the stars , I think. I'm in the middle of the action .
And in half an hour , I'll chronic insufficient.
Apparently, this is LA I missed the first time a group of average buskers , tacky tourist shops in one of the sex shops and concrete - hot, bright concrete just seems to extend indefinitely . Not only am I underwhelmed , but puzzled.
This is a city that has inspired many people flock to the city to pursue their dreams , a city where so many things have happened so many fascinating people and people lived . But all I see is trucks and guys dressed as Darth Vader " star tour " convertible .
However, something does not yet know about Los Angeles : Los Angeles is a city that needs time to grow on you.
For all your boldness and glamor, this is a place that takes its time to leave you, allowing you to find her charms in the glow of hot concrete and starlets bravado.
Since I stay in Hollywood Los Angeles again a bunch of times , and I finally learned to love .
I found Santa Monica.
I found that you can rent a bungalow near the beach and live the California dream, navigate its cold waters , lying on the golden sand, eat tacos beach huts and drinking good beer .
I learned that you can keep the ocean at Venice Beach and find all kinds of things : muscle men lifting weights , kicking footballs Mexicans , hippies spruiking shirts hemp , hippies on bicycles.
You can make a karaoke bar Whalers . You can eat food Tahitian Hinano Cafe.
I found Los Feliz, the small district with trendy shops , boutiques craft beers , coffees and implementation proud to Hollywood , Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
I was at Dodger Stadium. I sat in the California sun for Dodger dogs and "root" for the home team .
Best of all , however, I have drawn on the Sunset Strip. Most people do not move to Los Angeles for history, but for me is not living history on the Sunset Strip.
It is the home of the Chateau Marmont, the infamous star hotel. It is the site of the Art Deco Sunset Tower , former home of John Wayne , among many others. This is where the Viper Room , The Roxy , Whisky a Go Go and Rainbow Bar and Grill, each known in their own way .
The secret to having a good time in Los Angeles, I found, is to allow time to find the part that appeals to you , the part that inspires you as a source of inspiration for many. Is it - but the trick in this vast expanse of houses and roads , it is to discover.
For me, the best of Los Angeles is not around a pool in a guest house in Inglewood .
This is not a theme park or Beverly Hills.
It's on the Sunset Strip in the famous old hotels and clubs of this remarkable curve and stretching bars mountainous road . It is in old, faded glory of past years.
And it was worth the wait.
Have you been to Los Angeles? Were you disappointed or do you like it? What other places have been growing up in that time ? Post your comments below.
