My Favorite Place in Chicago

Chicago is my city heart . A proud native of Chicago and author of a travel guide Chicago family, I have seen many Chicago. I visited museums world class , I enjoyed the offerings of our unique neighborhoods , and I ate more than my share of hot dogs, deep dish pizza , and of course, popcorn Garrett ( Chicago mix, please! ) . I'm even a fan of the Chicago Cubs , and frankly, if it does not scream unfailing loyalty and pride in the city, I do not know what it is .

When he was asked by visitors ( or local looking for a little exploration native city) my ideal route , I make sure to include places like , Millennium Park, Chicago Skydeck Chicago Cultural Center ( located on the 103rd floor of the Sears Tower , the Willis Tower not ) , the pedestrian street, the roof of Tiffany glass in the cosmetic department of the State Marshal ( not Macy ) , and various other jewelry according to what I am "feeling " in the day the question arises .

My favorite place in the city , however, is a corner.

I know , sounds weird . Let me explain .

The corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive is next to the Chicago River. It is also the site of the Fort . Dearborn, Chicago time . If you pay attention when you're standing just south DuSable Bridge, you will notice the plates that are embedded in the pavement to mark the spot .
This area, which marks the beginning (or end) of the Magnificent Mile, is strong and alive, no matter the time of day or night .

The area is Chicago.

Standing in the shadow of flags flapping in the wind of their positions on the bridge, you can look west along the river and admire the buildings of Chicago and Wrigley excellence as Marina City and many tourist boats of you can really get the best view of the city around . Turn north to see the hustle and bustle of the Magnificent Mile and jewelry as Tribune Tower . Turn east on Lake Michigan to see for miles , and south to see the details in gold Carbide & Carbon Building ( which currently houses the Hard Rock Hotel ) , and in the distance , Millennium Park and Art Institute.
Except for the tourists stop to take a picture , most people are too eager to stop for a moment and take it all . Cars zoom on people and walk quickly on your way to somewhere else , but whenever I have the chance , especially on a sunny summer day , I'll be in the middle of the beautiful chaos in Michigan and Wacker, letting the wind in my hair whip accept a bear hug my city of broad shoulders.
